┌П┐(►˛◄’!)

The Anon Dare Meme

♦ Post with your character!

♥ Go Anon and find another character.

♣ Give them a dare that involves another character on the meme.
ex: 'I dare you to challenge Haruka Nanase to a cooking contest!' • 'I dare you to steal Darth Vader's underwear!' • 'I dare you to find the shortest person you can and call them a third grader!' • 'I dare you to find someone with long hair and yank on it really hard!'

♠ Go do your own dares.

[While it still feels a little awkward, Max is now used to start conversations with random people. However, this is a weird issue.]

Hello.

I was told we have a lot in common.

[Well, now, someone thinks they have a lot in common? Tracer's got a couple years on this little lady, a whole lot funnier an outfit, and significantly more British in her accent, but she'll play along.]

Hello there, love. I'll play along, what makes people think you and I are all alike?

Our powers, apparently.

[She is aware she should be more secretevi about her particular ability, and talking about it so casually does feel weird... however, she was dared to, so...]

That so? You have yourself a complicated relationship with the concept of space and time, too, do you? Let's hear it, what can you do?

[That's very interesting. Tracer's never met someone that does the time travel thing, like herself, and now she's extra curious about this American girl's story.]

[Meeting somebody that doesn't need proof or explanation sounds too easy, but she's curious to share her experience with somebody who can really understand her.]

I can rewind time, but I can go only go a few minutes back, unless... I focus on a picture of myself, then I can relive and change that moment if I wish.

[She doesn't add anything at the moment, wanting to check her reaction first.]

[She's all ears and listening raptly as the girl explains her abilities, and though they don't line up perfectly with her own, Tracer understands what she's saying a lot better than most people might.]

That's fascinating! You're practically the exact opposite of me, I think. You affect the whole world, but my timey-wimey powers only work on myself. I can speed up my time, slow it down, or reverse just me back a while, if I need to.

[She's sincerely hoping those powers don't come with a downside, like being lost in time if she screws up, but unlike Tracer, the young lady doesn't seem to be stuck wearing a complex piece of machinery on her chest to keep herself from literally being tossed into next week.]

Your time, you say. That's new. [She looks pretty weirded out, but then again, not as much as anyone else would.] I read a bit about time travel trying to understand my power, but I don't think I ever encountered anything similar to your ability.

[Perhaps she could reassure her about that. Sadly, she learned the lesson well.]

One thing I learned really fast by the time I got my powers under control, all those books about time travel? [She points her thumb down and blows a raspberry with her tongue.] Rubbish. The real thing is much more frightening.

[She pauses to tap a finger on her chin and purses her lips in thought.]

Too bad my friend Winston ain't here. He could probably figure out why you've got these powers, and give you some tips on controlling them. Without him, I'd probably still not have gotten any control over mine.

[Max nods in agreement.] Yeah... [She read so much about it and what use was it at the end? She already knew all she needed to.]

That would be nice. [A small smile. Yes, an explanation would be nice, but at this point, does she even need it?] What I learned from this, it's that it's not the power that needs controlling, but the person using it.
